Raw Materials

Plant-Based Sourcing

1. Contract Farming:

    1. Partnerships: We establish long-term relationships with local farmers who adhere to our stringent quality standards.
    2. Training and Support: Farmers receive training and support from our agricultural experts to implement best practices in cultivation.
    3. Sustainable Practices: Our contract farmers use eco-friendly and sustainable farming methods to ensure the health of the soil and environment.
    4. Quality Assurance: Regular inspections and audits are conducted to ensure that the crops meet our quality requirements. This includes testing for pesticides, herbicides, and other contaminants.

2. In-House Farming:

    1. Controlled Environment: Our in-house farms provide a controlled environment for the cultivation of key crops such as marigold and tomato.
    2. Precision Agriculture: We use advanced techniques such as precision agriculture to monitor and optimize soil health, water usage, and crop growth.
    3. Cultivation Practices: From seed selection to harvesting, every step is meticulously planned and executed to ensure the highest quality raw materials.
    4. Full Traceability: Our in-house farms offer complete traceability from seed to final product, ensuring transparency and quality control.

3. Specific Crops:

    1. Marigold: Cultivated for its lutein and zeaxanthin content, our marigold plants are grown under optimal conditions to maximize their bioactive compounds.
    2. Tomato: Grown primarily for lycopene extraction, our tomatoes are carefully managed to produce high yields of this valuable antioxidant.

By maintaining close relationships with our contract farmers and managing our in-house farms with precision, we ensure a consistent supply of high-quality, sustainable plant-based raw materials.

Microbial-Based Sourcing

Our microbial-based sourcing includes both fungal and algal ingredients, cultivated and processed to maintain their natural identity and bioactive potency.

  1. Fungal-Based Products:
    1. Dedicated Fermentation Facilities: Our fungal ingredients, such as those derived from Blakeslea trispora, are produced in dedicated fermentation facilities. These facilities, both in-house and through CDMO partnerships, ensure a controlled environment for consistent quality.
    2. Strain Optimization: We use optimized strains of Blakeslea trispora to maximize the production of valuable compounds like beta-carotene.
    3. Fermentation Process: The fermentation process is carefully monitored and controlled, from inoculation to harvest, to ensure the highest yield and purity of the fungal products.
    4. Purification: Post-fermentation, the fungal biomass is subjected to purification processes to isolate and concentrate the desired bioactive compounds.

2. Specific Algae:

    1. Salina: Cultivated for its high beta-carotene content, D.Salina is grown using both open pond and tubular systems to optimize yield and quality.
    2. Haematococcus pluvialis: Known for its rich astaxanthin content, Haematococcus pluvialis is cultivated in controlled environments to ensure the stability and potency of the astaxanthin.
    3. Nanochloropsis: This algae is a valuable source of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid), an omega-3 fatty acid. Our cultivation methods ensure a high concentration of EPA in the final product.
